Hi dear readers!
Welcome 2014! Finally, I have a blog post for you that happened this year! hihi Last month, Mitch, my stepmom’s sister, was attending a wedding together with her sister and mom-in-law. I was tasked to do their makeup while I had my sister do their hair! 🙂
The wedding was at 3:30pm and we were meant to start the makeup session by 10am that day. However, that didn’t happen so we started sometime after lunch. Let’s get on to the photos!! =)
Here’s Mitch’s before and after photo!

This is my first time to put full on makeup on Mitch despite the many occasions we have been together. hihi For her look, I kept it fresh and light for the wedding. Classy is the word!
I covered her breakouts on the forehead using MAC’s Pro Longwear Concealer. Amazing. That product! It can also be used under the eyes to brighten that area.
Here is a group photo of them. No before and after photo for Mitch’s mom and sister in law! =)

Lately, I have been doing a lot of makeup for mature women and this has helped me improve my skills. Putting makeup on older women can be difficult especially when you aren’t used to it since the usual techniques you apply on yourself may not be applicable for them.
For Mitch’s mom-in-law, I tried to give her a youthful glow thanks to Revlon’s Colorstay Whipped Foundation. This is more suitable for women with mature skin because it’s not as mattifying as the usual foundation I use on younger clients. I dusted her face lightly with loose powder to keep the finish of the whipped foundation. Too much powder on mature skin would make it look dry! And that is something we don’t want.

This is Ate Ica! For her, I gave her one of my all time favorite looks. I don’t know what you can call it exactly because it’s not the usual smoky eye I do yet still has that effect. Anyway, I think it suits her very well. MAC’s Angel lipstick suits her!
That’s for this Saturday’s post! Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely weekend! =)
Love,
Kist XO
