24 Seems Like a Nice Number

Turning 24 in that beautiful island, Coron, was a blessing! It’s a great way to start a new year in my life. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m grateful to have celebrated my 24th birthday at Coron with Andrew. ๐Ÿ™‚ We stayed at Casa Fidelis, a homey and peaceful resort owned by a friend from UPLB. It was a 3D 2N stay with them and their package included trips and tours to different spots in Coron as well as three meals per day. That part was where Drew and I were very impressed. You’ll see why later! ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh and only if you could taste it!

Lot’s of things happened that day and it’ll be difficult for me to share every detail of the trip but I will upload lots of photos and let them do the talking. I’ll just put captions on the photos so you’d get the flow of how my day went. ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh yeah! If you see black borders on the photos, that’s the camera’s underwater case. haha ๐Ÿ˜€

Drew and I boarded a small Cebu Pacific plane! ๐Ÿ˜€
Clouds!!
Driving! On our way to Casa Fidelis!!!:)
Welcome to Casa Fidelis!!! ๐Ÿ˜€
That’s the entrance to our room! ๐Ÿ™‚
The room they gave us was actually for 6 people. But we didn’t mind because we had a lot of space!! ๐Ÿ˜€
Roof! This room conserves the cold temperature of the air con very well! ๐Ÿ˜€ I forgot to take pictures of the toilet. XD
There’s a swing near the entrance of our room. hehe

After dropping our things at the room and changing to our swimming attire, we had lunch! ๐Ÿ˜€

The tastiest oysters I’ve had in my 24 years of existence on earth! haha
For lunch, we had this Samaral fried fish! very Yummy!
Look at the meat!!
We also had some sinigang na baboy!

After lunch, we started our tour!! We drove to the dock where we’d ride a boat to go to Barracuda Lake, Kayangan Lake, Siete Picados, and Maquinit Hotsprings.

In the car. On our way to Casa Fidelis’ dock! ๐Ÿ˜‰
To get to the boat, you have to walk this wooden bridge! ๐Ÿ˜€
Successfully got to the boat! ๐Ÿ˜€ We’re LEAVING!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Barracuda Lake

Approaching Coron’s Barracuda Lake. According to Kuya Medel, our guide, there were once barracudas in that lake. ๐Ÿ˜€
closer…
and closer..
Here’s a peek of the lake ๐Ÿ˜€
Tanan! The water is so beautiful!
Here’s what Barracuda lake looks like at the bottom!
Haha! Andrew, showing off his swimming skills. ๐Ÿ˜€
SNAKEEE!!
You have to take these stairs to get to and leave the lake! ๐Ÿ˜€

Kayangan Lake

This is the sign at the entrance of Kayangan Lake.
Yet again, you have to go up a hill before you get to the lake. hehe
Breathtaking!!!
The fishes of Kayangan Lake aren’t shy, at all. haha ๐Ÿ˜€
peace! ๐Ÿ˜€
mermaid WANNABE! hahaha

Siete Picados

Hahaha ๐Ÿ˜€ On our way to Siete Picados! it’s a well-know snorkeling site since the Corals are so alive with lots of fishes! ๐Ÿ˜€
See! Fishes! ๐Ÿ˜€
more fishes!! ๐Ÿ˜€ We feed them bread so they’d come to us and we can take pictures! ๐Ÿ˜€
Drew is surrounded by fishes at Siete Picados, Coron.

Maquinit Hot Spring

Our last stop for the day is at the Maquinit Hot Springs. It’s like the hot springs of Los Baรฑos, the legit ones, okay? ;D
That’s the entrance! ๐Ÿ˜€

First day coming to an end!

Dinner!! Food always excites me! ^_^

For dinner, we had fried chicken, adobong crabs, and samaral fish again. ๐Ÿ˜€

Beats FKC anyday!
Sorry for the blurry photo ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Uncle Bok told us that we didn’t go to Coron if we didn’t eat this! ๐Ÿ˜€
YUMMY SAMARAL FISH!

First day at Coron was so far, great great great!! ๐Ÿ˜€ Two things happened to me that day that tried to dampen my spirit but I wouldn’t allow it! It’s my birthday PLUS I’m in Coron with Drew!! ๐Ÿ˜€ So yeah, more positive things happened than the negative ones so I got through it! ๐Ÿ˜€

Next post would be about our second day at Coron, which is also Drew and I’s 3rd Anniversary! yahoo! Stay tuned! ๐Ÿ˜€

Love,
Kist XO

  1. Hi! Thanks for sharing your Coron adventure. ๐Ÿ™‚ We’ll be going there in Dec and we’re considering Casa Fidelis. Were the rooms/toilets spotless? Were their beds comfy? The mattresses look kinda thin kasi. I would very much appreciate your feedback. Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚
