Yahoo!!! 😀 I can legitimately buy huge amounts of makeup because I’m a certified makeup artist now. hihihi Although I’m just doing this as a freelance thing, I want to have the best set of makeup as possible. 🙂
This month, I’ve already had two clients and so far, all is well. Hihi You can check out Makeup by Kist to see the work I’ve done, so far. 🙂
I’ll show you this month’s makeup haul plus their prices in case you want to buy one for yourself. Let’s get started! 😀
May Make Up Haul
Make Up For Ever sponsors Maquillage Professionnel (MP). These are just some of the makeup we used during class and I love them! I bought these last Monday with Judy, a classmate of mine from MP.
Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eye Liner Pencils
in Black and Brown
“Essential” is the word I would describe these two. Waterproof eyeliners are needed in lining the eyes during Bridal makeup. Apart from the word “essential,” I can also describe these as “expensive” since they cost me Php 980.00 each! XD
Despite that, I believe in the quality of these products. These pencils have long staying power and are really waterproof! I tried washing off the swatches I made with water but no, away nia matanggal teh. 🙂
Make Up For Ever Sponge
I have not tried this sponge yet. At MP, we were only given these “regular” pink sponges and a powder puff. Not really the greatest but working with them was fine. I bet this sponge would make foundation application a lot more easier. Looking forward to that. 🙂 The Make Up For Ever Sponge costs Php 480.00.
Make Up For Ever Sculpting Kit

According to the lady in Make Up For Ever, shade number 2 is the best one and that a lot of people buy this. 🙂 I love love love this sculpting kit / contouring kit. It features two colors, one for contouring and the other serves as a highlighter. Use this to correct the shape of the face and to create facial balance.
The Make Up For Ever Sculpting Kit cost me Php 2,200.00 but of course, there are other alternatives. You just have to remember that when buying contour kits, you have to make sure that they are MATTE! 🙂
Make Up For Ever Super Matte Loose Powder (# 14)
Another amazing product from Make Up For Ever!! Use this powder to set your foundation to have a super matte finish! 😀 It has a very fine texture and it’s translucent, which means it won’t alter the color of your foundation after you apply this. 🙂 The Make Up For Ever Super Matte Loose Powder costs Php 1,450.00.
Make-up Designory (MUD) 810 Blending Brush
My first blending brush!!! Yahoo! Ate Judy advised me to buy this one when we went to PureBeauty in Serendra. Gosh! Ang Ganda niya nga!!! This brush blends so well and the bristles are so soft!! I used this on Kristine, my second clients, and WOW!! Good thing I bought it! Thanks to Judy!! 😀 The Make-up Designory 810 blending brush costs Php 950.00.
Revlon ColorStay Liquid Foundation
I bought this in two shades – lightest and darkest (na hindi naman super dark XD). I read a lot of good reviews about the staying power of this foundation that’s why I bought it. 🙂 Swatches below!

I just mix these two shades together to create the right shade for a client. 🙂 The Revlon ColorStay Liquid Foundation costs at around Php 850.00 at the SM North EDSA Department Store. I lost the receipt!
Etude House Aloha V-Line Slim Maker #02

I bought this Etude House Aloha V-Slim Maker at the SM North EDSA branch. It’s also a contouring kit with a shiny highlighter. I bought this before the MUFE sculpting kit so now I have two! 😀 This one works fine however, the contouring shade is a bit reddish. I should be careful in using this. 🙂
It comes with a small brush which I’m liking so far. Still haven’t invested in a good contouring brush so this will do for the mean time. 🙂 This kit is available at all Etude House branches for Php 728.00.
Etude House Color My Brows #1
MUFE has a great product for the eyebrows called the Eyebrow Corrector. I can’t afford myself to buy one of its small tubes yet so I bought this instead. I read somewhere in a magazine that this could be the “Save” version of the MUFE Eyebrow Corrector.
I first came across this product when my Tita and I were browsing products at Etude House some few months ago. She bought one herself and at the time, I bought their powder+gel eyebrow product. I love this and the results are kinda the same as MUFE Eyebrow Corrector only at a MORE affordable price. Get one for yourself at Php 328.00 only!
Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner in Black

Oh boy! Do I love this product! Thanks again to Carol for introducing me to this liquid eyeliner!! It’s wonderful. It’s easy to use because of its wand and the product stays long even without eye primer. 🙂 Hihihi
The Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner sells at Php 550.00. Quality to teh! haha 🙂
E.L.F. Studio Makeup Clutch
I’ve been using E.L.F. products for a long time now and I’ve been impressed by some of their products. 🙂 I bought this one because it’s a set of makeup products such as eyeshadows, lip gloss, bronzer, blushers, and eyebrow powder and cream. Not much to say about this product because I haven’t used them that much. 🙂 You can buy your own E.L.F Studio Makeup Clutch for Php 899.00.
Fashion 21 Loose Powder #1
I love cheap, local products that perform like its expensive counterparts! 🙂 Even though I have been using this for just a short time, I love how it works. 🙂 This is especially very useful for clients with yellow undertones (Chinese) because of its color. Haha. Helpful din siya kung maxadong maputi yung foundation na nalagay mo. hahaha
Try it! The Fashion 21 Loose Powder #1 costs Php 175.00 only. The cheapest makeup item I bought in this makeup haul.
Berkeley 888: #0 Painting Brush
Yes this is a painting brush. I went to National Bookstore to buy a palette and saw this brush! It reminded me of my sister and her painting brushes. haha 😀 I bought this as a gel eyeliner applicator. Exciting! 😀 This only costs Php 25.00. This is the cheapest makeup tool I bought. 🙂
There you have it! May’s been a very lovely month for me. My diary knows so. haha I wish tuloy-tuloy ‘to. I’m so happy!!! ^_^
