“Barely There” Wedding Makeup for Bride, Meg Ongoco-Cruz

The news had forecast a storm that day but not a single drop of rain touched us all throughout. 🙂

Before anything else, I’d like to share where the wedding was held. Patio Vera in Marikina was such a wonderful place. I love the ambiance and the place itself was just amazing. It had a lot of antique decorations that totally made me want all of them. But I can’t so pictures will just have to do. 😦

Below is one of the quilted decorations in Patio Vera, Marikina. I actually took a lot of photos of stuff I saw at Patio Vera but I won’t post them here. So anyway.. back to the real story of this post.

Meet the newest couple I recently had the pleasure of working for.

Meg and JM aren’t the conventional type of couple. I think they had most of their relationship in a long distance status. Although there are a lot of other couples with the same situation, I’m glad this couple stuck it out through thick and thin and managed to pull off their relationship even with a 12 hour time difference.

Meg, the bride, now lives in Canada and is already a naturalized citizen. JM, the groom, lives here in the Philippines. Even after the wedding, they will continue to have a long distance relationship but I guess they will be a whole lot stronger now that they are officially together! 😀

They had a lot of wedding cakes! 😀 But this one had the decorations. 🙂

As you can see in this picture, I am styling Meg’s hair. She wanted beach waves for her wedding hair do. She has naturally curly hair so it wasn’t difficult to make it curly. It was just that they were quite difficult to set the way Meg wanted them to. We attempted several times to tame and perfect her hair.

I won’t lie to you about this. I’m not a hair expert. But I’m glad Meg was kind enough understand. 🙂 Eventually, we were able to achieve the look she wanted. 😀 We were both happy! hihi Below is a photo of our trial session.

During the trial session we had, she specifically said she wanted a very simple simple simple wedding look. That translated to me as “barely there” makeup. 🙂 Below is a photo of her hair for the actual ceremony. 🙂

Final look of her hair, sideview. 🙂

Below is the before and after photo of Meg that day. 🙂

This is a closeup picture of her “barely there” wedding makeup look.

There you have it! 🙂 Meg’s “barely there” wedding makeup.

I’d like to thank Meg and JM for the wonderful opportunity. God bless you both. 🙂
I would also very very much like to thank Cierra Mae Castro for introducing me to Meg. ❤

Love,
Kist XO
